What we do and Why

Connecting talented teachers from our community to homeschool families is our main initiative. The learning and teaching experience in Classeteria accesses the missing factor in conventional and co-operative education: intrigue. Students can entertain their passions and talents for future careers in a space that is also providing genuine and quality instruction from qualified teachers. Our teachers range from credentialed, experienced, and professionals in their own subject, ranging from Writing, Spanish and ASL, Photography, Forensic Science, and Chemistry. We also partner with Reforge Charleston to fullfill STEM interests. 

Classeteria is a resource that understands the importance of both in-person and classroom-based instruction and the freedom young people need to have a versatile and customizable education. Similarly, teachers have freedom in their classrooms to use unique and creative ways of teaching to benefit each student. Our resource center involves the entire family and creates a community for homeschooling families.

Parents, teachers, and leaders in our program know that when starting out in homeschooling the options can be overwhelming. Our program strives to be the cross section these families need between seeking what is best for the student and accommodating state requirements. That being said, Classeteria's impact will be providing quality classes, resources, and support for homeschoolers. 

Our future goal in the community is to be a homeschool resource that families with little to no experience can walk in and receive support in any facet needed. Whether the support is needed in-person instruction, access to curriculum and computers, one-on-one tutoring, or receive direction for college preparation.
